Wire Dress

Wow! cold this morning here in rural Martinborough NZ, -3 and everywhere white, fingers haven't quite warmed up yet so no creating this morning.

Few new pics of my recent pieces, really enjoying working with old recycled corogated iron at the moment.....am loving the used, worn look.

Also decoupaging and distressing some lovely old doors, shutters, tables and chairs.( all available in SCARLET, but they do sell very quickly! )

Great Day & Pop Up Design shop

Last Saturday May 5th, Martinborough had it's re-run of their annual Fair, what a great day ( thank you rotary well done! ).....a good crowd of happy people turned up, the atmosphere was lovely and the weather behaved (although quite cold in under the trees ) I had my stall in the square stocked with my Wallflowers / Crosses & Hearts and SCARLET was also open.......a good busy day was had.

Also need to tell you another POP UP DESIGN SHOP has opened in Wellington @ 105 Customhouse Quay selling lots of great artisan products made by very clever people from all around NZ. Bags, Clothes, Books, Candles, Wall art, Stockings, Gloves, Babywear and so so much more. If you live or work in Wellington you really do need to check this out......it's getting rave reviews!!! OPEN FOR ANOTHER 5 WEEKS

Work overload!

It has been a busy few weeks in SCARLET what with Easter and the School holidays....lots of parents and children holidaying in and around Martinborough, my wee shop has been bursting at the seams some days with people ( because it is only wee! )

Also my wholesale orders....they have been coming in thick and fast, quite a struggle to keep up with them some days. I have a  lovely florist shop selling my work...'In Bloom' in Wanganui has been stocking my wire hearts, wallflowers & crosses for a few years now.  Thanks Sonya x

Happy Easter!

Hi all
A few days away untill Easter, so wishing everyone a happy, fun filled break.....also lots of chocolate yummmm!.

Had a mad moment last week I painted out the red wall in my wee shop so SCARLET has no more a scarlet wall......looks good though, thought it was time for a change, also makes it a bit easier to display in front of.

SCARLET has some lovely new pieces for furniture arriving in daily.....now stocking blanket boxes, kitchen baker racks, metal chairs, gorgeous french style metal tables, mirrors, trays etc. A good selection of my wall flowers are always in store and my chain of flowers is proving quite popular.

Martinborough Fair is a definate for Saturday May 5th, so looking forward to that......Weather please behave!!
